I make these all the time when I want a healthy treat and don't want to feel guilty about eating something bad for my body.
1 banana
1 handfull ice cubes
1/2 cup soy or rice milk*
1 spoonfull of unsweetened cocoa powder
a few drops of stevia**
Throw in blender and blend away. Be happy you have chosen a healthy snack for yourself!
*did you know dairy milk has TONS of sugar in it? not any good if you want to loose any weight or are concerned about your health!

yummm...I wish I could find a store that had mark-down bananas now and then! The cheapest I find them is at Fred Meyer for $0.59/lb. That smoothie sounds so good!
I use to make this for a breakfast shake but didn't think about all the sugar in milk. I also normally freeze my banana! How does rice milk taste because I can't do soy. Might try this with frozen oranges too!
I have found that Kal stevia is the best tasting stevia - no aftertaste, but a little more expensive if the after taste is an issue. Do they have Kal at Walmart? I am in search for the best price I can find!
I freeze my bananas too, Olivia! I don't know if you have tried this, but If you use a couple of bananas broken up with soy milk, sweetner, flavoring (vanilla, choc. powder, etc) & ice cubes in a good solid blender you can make 'ice cream' that is delicious, very low fat & sugar free if you use stevia! It melts fast, but is awesome!
